Eli began her exploration of tableware in the early-mid 2000s as a glassblower. In Brooklyn and Corning she gained an appreciation for form and function in glassware, knowledge she still applies today when working with clay.
Eli transitioned to the friendlier medium of ceramic after the birth of her daughter. She specializes in small-batch tableware that is both gracious and practical, with an emphasis on hand-building. When she is not slinging mud, Eli teaches at Saint Ann’s School, where she impresses youngsters ages 8-18 with the beauty of numbers and mathematics.
